Education

*Support fair funding for school districts to improve educational offerings and increase success rates of struggling Schuylkill County schools
*Support working with the local Workforce Development Boards and Career and Technical Centers in the expansion of career and technical training for jobs of the future, and reduce the student loan debt incurred to obtain training in High Priority Occupations

*Support expansion of Early Education Programs, and offer teachers’ wages to the educators of younger children in daycare settings

Blight/Crime/Safer Communities/Illegal Drugs

*Support communities in fighting blighted properties by designing programs to allow municipalities to seize nuisance properties earlier which would enable the municipality to rehabilitate them before they are deemed unsalvageable, or demolish them and resell the lots to buyers who have a plan to improve the property and create an opportunity for the municipality to recoup the monies spent

*Support Law Enforcement through increased resources and funding

*Support stronger penalties for those found guilty of violent crimes and crimes that result in loss to an individual or group, and create local re-entry programs to reduce recidivism

*Support educational programs to promote safe gun handling at earlier ages, and legal and responsible gun ownership

*Support Emergency Medical Services (EMS). There is a need for a new funding formula for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements for EMS organizations. They use a lot of personnel hours to respond to drug related instances which takes away from their ability to serve the remainder of the community. Programs need to be made available to allow training of EMTs and Paramedics. Currently, there is a shortage of them. The EMS coverage in rural areas is predominantly through smaller organizations that are more reliant on volunteers

*Support LGBTQ protections from bullying starting in school yards, and hallways, all the way up into the ranks of the lawmakers and in the State Supreme Court who suppress laws that offer protection and access to resources

*Support protecting a person’s right to vote by working to remove restrictions and policies that make it difficult for accessibility and a              mail-in process
* Support an Individual’s right to choose health care options which are best for her/him without limiting a person’s rights

Pro Women. Pro Choice.

I am a Pro-Choice Candidate dedicated to protecting the rights of women, to seek medical care as deemed necessary for their well-being.  There are too many situations where the option to seek medical care for the health of the mother, both physically and emotionally, could be limited by extreme measures to strip away the rights that we currently have.   We stand on the shoulders of women who fought to give us a vote.  I will fight for those women’s rights.
